This file needed to be hand-crafted as the mod is distributed only via mediafire. On my installation, it installs correctly and shows the appropriate visuals during missions.

So, I'm guessing mediafire doesn't like direct downloads, because this is giving me an error with the downloaded file right now. :/

Strange, this link worked for me both from browser and from the command line (ckan install yadda yadda).

I will research the intricacies of downloading directly from media fire.

My suspicion is that they expire their download URLs after a while, or they link them to particular IP addresses or regions. Mediafire probably doesn't make their money by letting people do direct downloads. :/

I contacted Green Skull via PN on the forums, maybe he can be convinced to put his suits on kerbalstuff.
