Kano profile plays a very important part in the Kano World ecosystem. It is responsible for keeping track of the users progress locally and if the user is registered in Kano World it ensures it is synced with the latter.

How to install it

Kano OS

kano-profile is preinstalled on Kano OS and is a dependency for packages that require to sync profile information to Kano World. It is provided as a debian package named kano-profile in our repositories. If you want to build the package separately the best way is to make use of Debian's native package builder, and simply execute debuild (available in the devscripts debian package) from the root directory.

How Kano Profile works

Kano profile is a collection of tools and packages each dealing with a dedicated feature. A good way to understand how the various functions work would be to study the tools that are located in the bin folder.
