Base.TS

An empty NodeJS application with a minimal TypeScript toolchain.

USAGE

The goal is to use the least amount of 3rd party libraries to begin using TypeScript.

You can start by doing a headless clone (a fork without actually forking). I.e copy the files from this repo into a local folder. This can be done via the following.

# Clone this repository.
git clone https://github.com/Karn/base.ts.git [DIRECTORY_NAME]

# Navigate into cloned repository.
cd [DIRECTORY_NAME]
# Remove reference to this repository.
rm -R .git/
# Reinitialize as a new git repository.
git init

First things first, run the npm install or yarn install command. This will install TypeScript and TSLint.

You can then being writing code within the src folder. When you are ready to build simply run npm build or yarn build. This process with lint and transpile your TypeScript code into JavaScript under the bin folder.
