Final Exam: predicting day-ahead electricity prices

For this individual final exam, I had to utilize machine learning in order to predict hourly energy prices in the Netherlands and build a trading strategy based on my predictions. I scored a 10/10 on this exam.

Group Assignment: small recreation of the Gu et al. (2020) paper

This project was part of the course Data science for finance at Tilburg University, for the Master of Science in Finance. I wrote this code in collaboration with Marc Stam.
