Footprint for NUCLEO-144 with Zio and Morpho connectors. Based on Module.pretty/ST_Morpho_Connector_144_STLink_MountingHoles.kicad_mod

UM1974 User manual

All contributions to the kicad library must follow the KiCad library convention

Thanks for creating a pull request to contribute to the KiCad libraries! To speed up integration of your PR, please check the following items:

  • Provide a URL to a datasheet for the footprint(s) you are contributing
  • An example screenshot image is very helpful
  • If there are matching symbol or 3D model pull requests, provide link(s) as appropriate
  • Check the output of the Travis automated check scripts - fix any errors as required
  • Give a reason behind any intentional library convention rule violation.

Be patient, we maintainers are volunteers with limited time and need to check your contribution against the datasheet. You can speed up the process by providing all the necessary information (see above). And you can speed up the process even more by providing a dimensioned drawing of your contribution. A tutorial on how to do that is found here: https://forum.kicad.info/t/how-to-check-footprint-correctness/9279 (This is optional!)

Hi, I've been searching for this! How could I import this before the pull request gets merged?

i have reason to believe that the mounting hole location is not quite correct in the Module.pretty/ST_Morpho_Connector_144_STLink_MountingHoles.kicad_mod
footprint. (have used the measurements from that file to 3d print a mount, the holes didn't line up)
@TehDmitry did you check everything again, or did you just add the extension connectors of the board? ok i just checked, it's the same mounting hole locations.

does anybody have a mechanical drawing of this board that doesn't s*ck?
or does anybody volunteer to put in some needed measurements into the official stm mechanical drawing using inkscape?

@jhalmen I only added Zio connectors to existing Morpho footprint. Now I trying to compare the footprint and drawing from UM1974. They seem near equal:

ok now i'm starting to wonder if i did something wrong... i'll see if i can get pictures or something where the offset is visible

that's a good idea tho, to put them together like that!
it does however show a problem with the usb connector at the bottom

some new information came to light in #2192, apparently the hole locations were right all along.
