Releases: Koenvh1/ets2-local-radio
v3.4.1 - I can hear you
v3.4.0 - Can you hear me?
- Update installer
- Better reception switching*
- Add Chinese (traditional)
- Update Russian
- Add Croatian
- Add Ukranian
* Rather than changing to the closest country/city once it goes over a certain threshold, it will look at the reception and only switch once the reception is better. This prevents cases where the radio would switch from e.g. Spain to Andorra, even though the reception for Spain was better.
v3.3.1 - Do you have an appointment?
- Translations were updated
- Flags in Mexico now show up correctly
- Logo font corrected
- Better support for stations in Canada
- Small fixes and visual improvements
v3.3.0 - True Colours
- A fresh lick of paint - now the style of the web page matches that of the welcome screen in the app and the colours on the logo
- Support for Chrome 93
- Update a couple of languages
Here are some screenshots of the new look:

There are some potential breaking changes, depending on your setup.
Due to some changes in Google Chrome, Local Radio now serves the page locally again (i.e. from http://a.b.c.d:8330 instead of http://localradio.koenvh.nl) just like version 2. However, the stations and cities are loaded dynamically from the internet.
If you use the Local Radio app, please select V2 instead of V3. It will be updated shortly.
v3.2.0 - Over and over
- Fix overlay not showing up after restarting ETS2/ATS without restarting Local Radio
- Update existing languages (Russian)
- Add new languages (Serbian Latin/Cyrillic)
- Update installer to include all languages included in Local Radio
Just as a reminder, since version 3, most updates to stations, maps and cities are done over the air, so they do not require you to update the entirety of Local Radio. Only updates to the server require you to manually update.
I would also like to use this moment to draw your attention to the translation portal:
https://koenvh.nl/translate
You can help adding support for your language to Local Radio, or improving support for you language by going to the link above
If you are a Linux user, there is an experimental Linux version here: #135
Please test it and leave your feedback.
v3.1.0 - Over the hills
This release updates several translations, as well as adds new ones. Additionally, turning the overlay off now prevents the entire overlay from loading, to prevent crashing with a specific AMD driver.
Just as a reminder, since version 3, most updates to stations, maps and cities are done over the air, so they do not require you to update the entirety of Local Radio.
v3.0.0 - On Air
This is the first real v3.0.0 release. The major change compared to v2 is that all radio stations are now fetched online, instead of being stored locally. This means that the download size is significantly smaller, and station and city updates are now processed in hours (often less), instead of weeks or months.
Compared to v2, many stations were added and fixed. Support for ProMods 2.45, RusMap 2.0 and ProMods ME 2.45 was added.
- In case you used to change the
config.js
file: this file no longer exists, please use thecustom.js
file instead. Your changes will now persist even when Local Radio is updated. - In case you added your own stations: this can now also be done with the custom.js file.
Additional updates will be released on the fly, without requiring you to download everything again.
v3.0.0-beta2 - A New Dawn
- Fixed overlay not displaying when changing stations quickly.
- Add support for a
custom.js
file, where you can now change the settings, add stations and enable maps.
This version is still in beta. Use v2.5.0 if you are experiencing any problems with this version.
v3.0.0-beta - You've Got Mail
This is the beta version of version 3.0. Unlike previous versions, stations and cities are not stored locally, but are retrieved from the Local Radio website. It also means that station updates now arrive within a couple hours instead of a couple months.
This version is still in beta. Use v2.5.0 if you are experiencing any problems with this version.
v2.5.0 - Corsa
- Added Corsica
- Updated stations in Canada, Bulgaria, and a couple of other countries
As this is most likely the last update before Christmas, I wish you all a very happy Christmas
