A possible [undesired (?)] side-effect of the change implemented in #2023

See forum discussion http://www.kunena.org/forum/k-3-0-blue-eagle-templates/129078-k-3-0-3-how-do-i-make-the-blue-eagle-background-transparent

In the K 3.0 Template Manager (possibly even in earlier versions), too, prior to K 3.0.3, there was an undocumented "feature" that allowed users to create a transparent background by erasing the font colour. In the K 3.0.3 Template Manager it is not possible to leave the field empty and, on saving the changes, the value is subsituted with the default font colour.

This is not necessarily a defect but comments on the issue would be welcome.

Yeah, I saw this also and asked the question how to get the feature back. @xillibit answered that there's no way to leave the value empty.

So basically the effect of the UI change is that saving template now changes all the colors if blending is enabled. I think it should be documented at least..?

If there we are unable to modify the Template Manager to save null values, then I think we probably have to close this item. Are we agreed?

It would be optimal such as with Joomla 2.5
You can color values with letters specify and it works also transparent. If you leaving a field blank, it saves the default values again.

If you enable skinnner and you let the field blank in admin, no color will be set.

I Still see: Warning: strtolower() expects parameter 1 to be string, array given in C:\wamp\www\bugs\j32\libraries\joomla\form\fields\color.php on line 166
