With this extensible library I'm trying to (fully) understand neural networks as well as to create an object-oriented starting point for small-scale projects making use of this amazing subject.
However, both require this thing to work properly which might be quite a challenge.
Have a look at PatternAssociator which doesn't use BrainMaker but a simplified auto-associative neural network to create, train and recognize simple patterns.
