Hey Guys,
installing the nightly build on my laptop with OSX 10.8.4 - the Navigator window no longer seems to display the Thonrings when typing C - instead .... it just pops up the interactive defocus window. Do you have any idea why this may be the case?

OK .... figured it out. The data were collected on a Cs corrected TEM. The Thonring display will not work if Cs=0 is set in the interface. Right now need to "fudge it" to get around it.

Hi,
When using a Cs of 0.001 mm (1 micrometer), then I can still see Thon rings. When you use a Cs of 0.0001 (100 nm) or even smaller, then the Thon rings get extremely jittery, which is a really interesting artifact. We can use this to create beautiful images... but we really should look into that and remove those artifacts. This should clearly also work for any Cs values.
Henning.
