LMMS fails to start on Windows 10

now I know a lot of people had issues with this on 8 and 7 but I'm having it on windows 10 and none of the fixes that where talked about in the other threads seem to work

it'll open the loading splash screen then stop and do the windows run time error

told him it may take a while to get lmms on win10

• First, please use code tags (```) when posting snippets.
• Second, which build of Windows 10? A release candidate or the official version pushed out this week?
• Third, why the heck is the OP running 1.0.93?

Testing:

• I can reproduce this crash on LMMS 1.1.3 x64, Windows 10 Pro Technical Preview Build 9926, even after DirectPlay is installed.
• I do not have the latest Windows 10 build to test this out on (anyone on here have the latest Windows for testing?)

Also worth mentioning this may have similarities to #1173, #512, #451 forums/#604, forums/#3365, forums#1330, forums#2163, etc.

Might be a general problem related to PortAudio and Windows 10. According to the log the faulting module is libportaudio-2.dll. And here is also a forum entry of someone who has problems with Audacity while using PortAudio on Windows 10:

I just installed Windows 10 Professional x64 and LMMS launches (in a VM, whereas the Technical Preview, LMMS wouldn't work). I still believe this to be related to our known issues but we will need more success or failure stories to know the severity.

I am trying LMMS 1.1.3 x64 on windows 10 pro x64 with amd a4-4000 -4g of ram mother msi for me work fine

I used LMMS at windows 10 a couple of days ago using my master build with no problems.
