Ctrl + left-right keys in Piano Roll #811

I thought it makes use of the grid size. Maybe we just need to fix it's
|
Yes, move playhead with keys needs to be fixed, if there are anything to fix, and then a new key combo. It is easier and logical if Ctrl + arrows only moves selected notes, not playhead too. |
Hm, yes, moving the playhead is of limited usability in the piano roll. Besides it can already be done pretty easily by clicking on the timeline. I'm going to mark this for 1.2. |
say, @lukas-w What about adding the functionality that when you hold down ALT you can move automation points with highest precision. In the Piano Roll you can move and resize notes with 1/192 precision (quantization) when holding down ALT. |
That will make sense as soon as it's possible to select points in the automation editor. :) |
It will make just as much sense now? You can move points in the automation editor now, and one isn't in immediate need of moving several at a time, in fact I think you will rarely need to fine adjust several points the same amount in the same direction. ALT is a key for temporary override the current quantization. Could also be improved in the Piano Roll, as of now you cannot use it to place notes. |
Ah I see, I thought you wanted to move points with your arrow keys like in this issue. |
Currently moves the playhead (time ticker) in a strange way. When quantization was set to 1/16 it took 12 jumps in one bar.
I propose: Ctrl + left-right keys in Piano Roll moves the selected notes one bar.
