Hi!

Desktop Wallet stuck at "Syncing to the blockchain" and "Waiting for peers...".
Zero percents synced. I have waited more then 24 hours.

I had the same problem for days now, I uninstalled and re-installed ZAP but still the same problem. Does anyone know what the fix is or when it will be available

This is an issue with our BTCD backend and the version of LND that is bundled. We are in the process of updating BTCD and LND to resolve this. We are aiming to release a new version as soon as those upgrades have been completed. Until then, you should be able to test the updated version in #658

Experiencing the same issue on Zap 0.2.0. Endless "waiting for peers" issue. Reinstalling, stopping/starting does not help.

This issue should now be resolved in the new 0.2.1 release.

Hi @wesleyjohn

These are 2 separate issues:

My segwit enabled wallet did not recognize the address, error message was:"this is not a valid btc address"

The bitcoin wallet address is a testnet address. Can can not send real bitcoins to it. You can get some testnet coins from https://testnet.manu.backend.hamburg/faucet

My Zap wallet could not sync with the block chain, it got stuck at 51%, then went to 78% and started all over again

The lnd sync process is currently a little unreliable and buggy, We are working on improving this. However, the wallet should fully sync. Please try to quite the app and reopen it. Give it a few minutes and it should complete the synchronisation process.

The original issue described here was with the old 0.2.0 release and was confirmed to have been resolved with 0.2.1. Since then, a number of further improvements have been made in 0.2.2.

I managed to get testnet coins but now I get a pop us saying "unexpected LND quit" when launching the Zap Wallet.

@wesleyjohn Please try with the latest version of Zap (0.2.2), which will give more information in the case of LND unexpectedly quitting.

I'm going to close this issue as it relates to an old version of Zap. Please feel free to reopen this issue if you encounter it with 0.2.2 or later.

Sorry, I'm running the newest version 0.4.1 and have the same problem (Windows 10).
Reinstall, downgrade to 0.4.0 didn't work
Could it be related to the fact, that my IP address changed ?
