@jbbutler thanks for the PR. Can you provide a bit more context about this test, and also explain the plot a little bit so that I can find suitable reviewer? (I'll review the code, but I usually would also find someone to review if the test is appropriate for the science goal.) |
No problem! This test looks for a relationship between the velocity
dispersion of galaxies within clusters and the total halo mass (multiplied
by the normalized Hubble parameter). Specifically, it tests whether or not
the catalog clusters follow the fitted red line, which is an equation from
a publication about this viral scaling relationship. Each dot represents a
galaxy cluster, the y axis is the velocity dispersion, and the x axis is
the halo mass times normalized Hubble parameter.
