Sprint planning

We should use this page to plan out what we want to accomplish in our sprints

November 13 - 20, 2020

Pre-sprint:

• Billy: finalize changes to pyrtools.imshow, pyrtools.animshow, plenoptic.imshow, plenoptic.animshow
• PE: push working version of Geodesic (including projected geodesic for under complete models), draft tuto 0 on the linear case, draft optim in pyr space

Primary goals

1. Portilla-Simoncelli texture stats:

   a. Make more human-readable

   b. Set up tests against MATLAB version for forward pass

2. Get geodesics tested.

3. Port eigendistortion to Synthesis framework.

4. Port geodesics to Synthesis framework.

Secondary goals

1. Reproduce MAD Competition results from MATLAB code.

2. Work on documentation and tutorials.

3. Get pytest-notebook set up (or similar method to make sure we test notebooks and make sure they still run).

Who's working on what

These are the main things you'll be focusing on (especially when working by yourself), but obviously you can work on other things and offer help.

• Billy: Primary 3/4, Secondary 1
• PE: Primary 2, secondary 2
• Lyndon: Primary 3, secondary 2

Post-sprint

• Let Goki know that texture statistics are ready for use.
