It occurred in Firefox 79.0 (64-Bit) and desktop mode (my screen is 2560x1440px big)

In Commit e7ed8c0 the line
overflow-x: scroll;was removed. This was causing long lines in code blocks to "flow outside the container". Readding this line adds a scrollbar for these cases.
