Business Intelligence Project - Tumors mortality rate evolution

Realization of an OLAP system for the study of the evolution of the mortality rates of various cancers in the decade 2000 - 2010 in the United States. Project developed during the Integration and Testing of Software System course @ Department of Computer Science @ University of Bari "Aldo Moro" under the supervision of dr. Michele Scalera.

Project information

The project was carried out as follows:

• An ETL script in JavaFX that, starting from a dataset in csv format, transforms and loads it into the DW created
• Creation of black box tests in JUnit to test the script created
• Development of the Data Warehouse in which the data were stored using the PostgreSQL DBMS
• Use of Microsoft Power BI tool for OLAP analysis
