Localization was in our mind when we decided to use Read the Docs for our manual.
But, as this is the first request for translation, it is not prepared yet.
You may have a look at Project with multiple translations on Read the Docs.
Details are linked there too, see Manage Translations for Sphinx projects.

Sphinx is the tool behind the documentation, it creates documentation in various formats from the *.rst files.

If the linked resources make any sense to you, you probably can support us preparing the repo for localization. When it is totally out of your scope, we must see if somebody else can work on that soon.

The proposed way, using PO files, ensures, that modifications in the base language are safe detected and can be reworked in translations. It is more effort in preparation yet, but later it makes the process easier to find modifications in the source language and keep translations in sync with it.
