This is to make it so it's clear that the update path is still more or less the same and adds all the new info I'm aware of that needs to be considered during the upgrade.
You can see the updated docs by looking at the changed branch directly. I'm keeping the apt-get install stuff as is since we plan on re-adding it.
Please let me know if you have any more info or would want me to clarify something in the text and I'll be glad to add it here. I think this should cover both #184 and #178.
