How to update

Local Wallet

Please backup your wallet.dat if you upgrading from an existing version
• For Linux, go to ~/.lightbit
• For Windows, go to %appdata%/lightbit
• For Mac press cmd+shift+G, go to ~/Library/Application Support/lightbit

1. Delete everything except for wallet.dat
2. Download new release 0.17.0 below
3. Optional: You can use bootstrap before starting the wallet
4. Open a new wallet and wait till it syncs

How to bootstrap

1. Close your wallet if you haven't done that already

   • For Linux, go to ~/.lightbit
   • For Windows, go to %appdata%/lightbit
   • For Mac press cmd+shift+G, go to ~/Library/Application Support/lightbit

2. Delete everything in that folder except for wallet.dat

3. Download lightbit latest bootstrap

4. You should have a bootstrap.zip file unzip and copy all files into the folder in step 1

5. Launch your wallet and wait for the blockchain to sync

With this new release, the following changes will take effect:

•  Change to rewards structure
•  Wallets can now sync without any issue
•  Hardcoded peers & auto-generated conf
