For some reason Github always provides an outdated version of the code. So if you want the latest source code please grab "source_code_of_extrusion.zip" and not the code Github provides.

Then Restart Gimp and go to GEGL Operations to find the plugin. If you use Gimp 2.99.16 it will be under filters>text styling.
