Travel Stay Project Description

Overview

Travel Stay is a comprehensive travel booking platform developed using the MERN stack (MongoDB, Express, React, Node.js). It enables users to efficiently wishlist, filter, and reserve hotels for their travel needs.

Technologies Used

  • MongoDB: NoSQL database used for storing hotel and user data.
  • Express: Backend framework used for building RESTful APIs to interact with the database.
  • React: Frontend framework used for building the user interface of the travel booking platform.
  • Node.js: JavaScript runtime environment used for running the backend server.

  • Hotel Booking: Users can search for hotels, wishlist their favorite options, apply filters, and make reservations.
  • End-to-End Design and Deployment: Spearheaded the design and deployment process from frontend to backend schema and APIs.
  • Frontend Deployment: Successfully deployed the frontend on Netlify, ensuring a seamless user experience.
  • Backend Deployment: Deployed the backend on Cyclic, ensuring secure transactions with PayPal integration.

To run the Travel Stay project locally, follow these steps:
