Solr For Data Science

This repository contains examples that go along with Grant Ingersoll's talk on "Solr for Data Science"

Pre-requisites

Please make sure you have the following:

1. Python 2.7
2. Python libs: optparse, urllib2, time, datetime, os, json, random, optparse, httplib2, traceback, pysolr. Note, for PySolr, you need lxml version 3 or later, per django-haystack/pysolr#72
3. NodeJS (I tested on 0.10.35)
4. A modern browser, such as the latest Chrome or Firefox

Getting Started

• If you haven't already, clone this project: git clone git@github.com:LucidWorks/solr-for-datascience.git
• Open static/solr-citi.html in a browser for details on the tutorial
