How to Use

Using DieselBundleViewer is fairly simple most tasks don't require much work.

Opening the game's content

To open the game's contents, click File, Open, navigate to the assets directory of the game (Example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\PAYDAY 2\assets) and then simply click the only file that will appear there which would be either called bundle_db.blb (PD2/RWW2) or all.blb (PDTH).

And after that, the program will load stuff. You should see something like this in the right side corner:

After it's done your screen should look something like this:

That's it!

Viewing

Simply click any item you wish to view.

Some items will open a dialog to choose a conversion (any scriptdata) and some will just open. The program won't open them from the program itself and will leave it to the user's computer. So for example, you want to open a .texture file; all the progrma does is convert .texture to .dds. I recommend installing a program like XnView to easily view DDS files. XML files will open in any text editor and Wav files obviously will open in Windows without a problem.

Saving / extracting

You have 3 options in this scenario:

Drag and Drop

Simply drag and drop anything out of the program to the file explorer / desktop / Discord (Yes, Discord) / etc.

Saving

Right click any item and click Save As to save the file as it is or Convert and Save As to convert the file (for example .stream (wem) to .wav.

Extracting everything

Extract everything by clicking Tools menu and then Extract All button. The extract pays attention to the selected bundles, if you have selected specific ones.

Find Tool

A powerful tool that allows you to search for files. You can match the whole name of the file, use regular expression and search a full path.

Select Bundles Tool

The select bundles tool allows you to select specific bundles to see their contents. Your selection also affects saving and drag dropping so use it wisely! Use it by selecting the bundles you wish to see select as much as you like. To go back to normal, simply uselect everything.
