Running LMS in docker, no response from remote server

Background:

I am running the LMS in a docker container, I can connect from the local network with the RPi's IP but can't from the server list, nor can my friends, not behind a CNAT, I checked.

I noticed that when it tries to connect it goes to the docker container's IP 172.x.x.x and fails. The container network is bridge. I tried setting it to host and it worked. Even without port forwarding on the router. Is it supposed to be on host rather than bridge?
