Redis 3.0.501 - EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error #437
Comments
Hi @mozgurkaymakci |
@enricogior, I checked again and there is no stack trace data. All the log is below:
Also, sometimes I get a different error which is below:
I get the EXCEPTION_ACCESS_VIOLATION error only when the service restarts. But I get "Accepting client connection: accept: Unknown error" message occasionally. (I've already created an issue for this problem using Redis 2.6.12, I guess the latest version doesn't fix this problem) In the conf file, I commented save configurations and I changed timeout, keep-alive, logfile, syslog-enabled and syslog-ident configurations. Also Redis runs on Windows Server 2008 R2 machine and installed using the official documentation. Thank you. |
@mozgurkaymakci Regarding the access violation: it's unusual that the stack trace is not printed, can you please post the log lines before the exception (50 should be enough). |
@enricogior No Redis doesn't stop but if the number of clients increases then it stops. You can see the logs below:

Hi @mozgurkaymakci |
Hi @enricogior, Thank you very much for your interest. Yes the service was restarted externally using redis-cli. So you see the lines which is below.
I'll take a minidump but the data is very sensitive to privacy issues. I will try to reproduce the problem using sample data. |

Hi @enricogior, I've tried multiple times to reproduce the issue. Finally I got the same error, but I couldn't take a mini-dump. I configured the registry but the dump file was not created but this time stack trace was printed. By the way, I checked the event viewer, there was no error log, all of them were information logs. I get the same error whenever Redis service stops intentionally. You can see the logs below:

Hi again @enricogior, |
This bug bit us too. Took down two unrelated nodes (one in Master, one in Slave). I believe issue 449 is the same issue. @mozgurkaymakci Interesting, we also run on vmware as well. Stack trace for analysis: === REDIS BUG REPORT START: Cut & paste starting from here === |
