Using Sage 10, this didn't work for me using
file_get_contents()... Nothing was echoed. Switching toasset(...)->contents()fixed that.This also uses the item's URI as defined in the manifest instead of recreating it with
get_stylesheet_directory_uri() . '/dist'.
