It would be nice to be able to download a packaged JAR instead of having to 
check out the source and build the jar.

easy to compile, just create in eclipse a java project and start it in folder 
with sources of this project then it builds and export a jar

Strange, I was constantly getting NoClassDefFoundError with provided jar. It 
worked when I built it myself.
