I'd like to have an easy way of adding a table of contents. There are some markdown extensions for TOC ... maybe you can support them. The idea is that once the user writes something like [TOC] (or whatever the syntax is) MacDown auto-generates a table of contents.

This is doable since Hoedown supports TOC already. I’ll look into the detail when I get the time.

BTW, the link you gave above is broken.

Ok, thanks. Excellent! (I forgot to escape the the markdown above ... that's why it looks like a link, should have been: [TOC])

Experimental TOC rendering support

This implementation does NOT render TOC at a specific tag, but
just prepends the TOC portion in front of the content (but after
front-matter). The TOC syntax might be more difficult. Still
considering options.
