While playing around in the level editor I found that a floor tile on which the player can't place rails would result in more interesting map layouts. These tiles would allow shortcuts back to the base without creating a shorter route for the player to use for it's rail system.

Perhaps some fallen down walls or boulder pile tiles would serve as a cue for these tiles. You could even reduce move speed through them for the player.

What about an additional message: "You cannot build on boulder-tiles"? In addition whit the corresponding tile-image this sould do the trick…

( I do not want to bump , but ... )

I am going to inspect the destroyed / fallen down walls one . I will create another tile for that and other tile graphics .
