Connecting the RGB Panel

The main part is to connect it as explained here: https://github.com/hzeller/rpi-rgb-led-matrix/blob/master/wiring.md

When following the guide you need to be aware that, we are connecting a 64x64 display, and you thus have to follow the additional steps mentioned in the guide.

In particular:

  • The additional E connection is necessary. It is placed right below "G2" (this is also mentioned in the guide)
  • The connection D in their picture is GND on our panels
  • On our panels "Strobe" is called "Lat", but does the same thing
  • On our panels OE- is not named, but is right below "CLK"
