This repository contains all program we need to manage Process Plant SMS notification.
Assuming your are running OSISoft PI System to capture your process tags data.
Managing SMS Notification under SQL Server is definetely the best practice to manage your SMS (managing PI tags, managing users and group of users, view activity status...)
Finally, having at least one Modem Hardware that can support AT Command is mandatory in order to send your notification.
Having all said, This repository is a startup for you to create your SMS Notification.
This program has been tested in a Metal Extraction Plant and run for more than one year in our environment without any issue,
There is about 300 PI tags to watch, more than 20 users under different groups to be notified,
That would roughly gives us about 6000 events to manage with one modem only.
There is no guarantee that it will work in your environment.
