Amplitude gets stuck when changing parameters in Bird

reported by Linus: '... sometimes when u change the different parameters in Bird the amplitude got stuck. So u either had to erase the history or make a new variable.'

Not entirely sure what this really means, but should have a look at the behaviour of Amplitude.
