Step 1: Download Triton Software

Download or clone Triton repository from Marine Bioacoustics Research Collective GitHub page. Click Clone or download and copy your GitHub link

Step 2: Add Triton to MATLAB

Start MATLAB and set path to include Triton's folders by using the Set Path option in MATLAB's home tab:

Step 3: Launch Triton

Invoke Triton using the MATLAB Command Window as follows:

> triton

and three window panels will be displayed: Plot, Control, and Message.

  • Plot Window (Right) - Displays plots of acoustic time series, spectra, spectrograms, and Long-Term Spectral Average (LTSA).
  • Message Window (Lower Left) – Displays information and warnings from users‟ actions such as Plot Window cursor location along with selected data values.
  • Control Window (Upper Left) – Controls plotting parameters for Plot Window and various file functions.

Step 4: Add Remoras

In the Control Window, use Remoras pull-down menu, and select Add Remora.

Choose the folder from the Remoras folder that has the files of your Remora:
