What is Velocity Painting?

VelocityPainting is a technique that varies the print speed (but not the temperature) of a 3D print to map a pattern or image onto the model. This allows for patterned prints without the need to swap filament or use multiple extruders. The software post-processes the GCODE output from your slicer to affect the changes in print speed.

It has some effect when used with opaque filaments but works best with translucent PLA.

This is my design from thingiverse, with a rose "tattooed" on the front and back. 20cm tall.
