Marlin 1.0.0b1 : NOT_ATTACHED in ReplicatorG

Hi,

Thanks for the update on Marlin v1.0.0b1.

Here is the issue I've got, using replicatorg 0025 under OSX Lion:

1. use Arduino to upload new firmware, everything goes well
2. open ReplicatorG, console seems to recognized the printer, but have an issue at the end, and display a red status noted as "NOT_ATTACHED"

I've tried with newly release replicatorg 0026_alpha2, with the same issue.

I've change the Configuration.h in Marlin firmware to have a baudrate of 115200 instead of 250000 (how do you use 250000 baudrate replicatorg? I suppose you use Printrun?).

Hello Alexandre,

I always use Printrun. With that I can communicate on 250000 baud.
For replicatorG 115200 is the default value. I don't know if you can switch replicatorG to 250000.

Erik, i think the baud rate is not the problem here, because he gets echo:blabla from the printer. With baud-rate problems, most likely he would get nothing or just random data.
IIRC there is a timeout defined in the machinefile xml of repg. Maybe the machine answers to slowly, due to the bootloader or maybe sd suport? If so, try disabeling it, or try to disable the eeprom support.

Yes, the baudrate was already changed in configuration.h in order to be able to get printer serial in replicatorg.

Thanks for the tips, I'll try to change the timeout and/or eeprom support to see if it changes something.

Not really, I'm moving to printrun and learn more about skeingforge/sfact settings.

Hope someone else will be able to get this version working on ReplicatorG, most people in our hackerspace will still use it.

I found the issue, this issue is also exhibited with repetier-host and repsnapper.

When issuing gcode M115, the serial print doesnt print a new line after extruder count. This causes the "ok" to look like it is part of extruder count. The "ok" is not parsed and the host software doesnt know what to do. Solution is to add a "\n" after extruder count as a space is insufficient.
