Z_SAFE_HOMING / G28 / G29 / Z_RAISE_BEFORE_PROBING #1549
Comments
Does it have the same behaviour if you home z before G29 like you're supposed to? Sent from my iPhone
|
If Z has been homed already then No it raises Z as intended. Setting Z with G92 (Z20) before G29 still results in Z drop though. |
Homing Z first is eventually my intention, but Safe Z Homing (@ specific XY location) isn't working yet. So Z homing doesn't work on my machine. |
Correction Z Homing (@ specific XY location) does work. And when done prior to G29 results in a Z_RAISE_BEFORE_PROBING 5 as intended |
So it is working correctly then. Do you want to close the issue then as there are way too many open as it is. Sent from my iPhone

Core XY printer, Marlin development downloaded 02/03/15. Arduino 1.05
define Z_RAISE_BEFORE_PROBING 5
Start printer (0,0,0). Z+10(pronterface), Z+10 (0,0,20), G28 XY, G29 ...and marlin drops Z rather than raising it by 5. Z drops to Z4-5? before starting
