Hello,

I've been using your app for the past year, and it's really great. However since I updated it this week, the app loads

On load
0s
After 5 seconds
5s
After 10 seconds
10s

It then just hangs like that, and won't work. Any ideas?

Hey @walkerofmargins,

We did a quick check and this issue looks very darn similar to

Have you tried a clean reinstall? No changes in network connection or firewall etc?

I had a very similar problem on windows, but the player would just get stuck on the loading screen. A clean reinstall fixed it.

@jostrander

Sorry - I didn't want to raise this as a duplicate here - I was just trying to give more information on the bug. This hasn't worked on my mac now since version 4.6.

It's even more frustrating that when I download Version 4.5.0 from Github, it works fine, but if I restart my computer it auto-downloads 4.6.1...Which, again, is broken, and I need to re-install 4.5

  • There are no changes in my network connection
  • There has been no change in my Firewall

This issue is persistent on both my work mac and my home mac. Both of which are running macOSHighSierra 10.13.5

  • I have tried a clean install
  • I have tried uninstalling, shutting down and then installing 4.6.1

Right now the only way I can use your app is by downloading 4.5, and not restarting my computer - Which is not ideal.

I will listen to Google Play on a Chromium browser for now - as that does 95% of what this does, but just doesn't have a last.fm plug-in.

I hope that you are able to fix this issue for future releases.

I have solved this by:

Downloading Chromium - Stable Version 67.0.3396.99 (Developer Build) (64-bit)
Installing Web Scrobbler - https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/web-scrobbler/hhinaapppaileiechjoiifaancjggfjm?hl=en

Having these two features combined replaces the use case I had for GPMDP which was to have two separate instances of Chrome operational and have a music player exist separately on Mac OS.

This means I now use:

Chrome for Work
Chrome Canary for Personal
And Chromium with Web Scrobbler extension installed for music - Full-Screen.

I have removed GPMDP from my computer and solved the issue I was having.
