Fixes:

  • Works with the recent update (v1.1.0)
  • Fixed bug with the Galdera sidequest
  • Formation menu option now allows for changing equipment between all PCs (no longer capped at 4 PCs)
  • Removed the need for an Empowering Lychee for the Inventor

Known Issues:

  • For technical reasons, sidequests "Reaching for the Stars" and "Sword Hunter in the Decaying Temple" can't be completed once a flame extinguishes when shuffling main story events.
  • If a chapter ends abruptly after a cutscene, go straight to the local tavern to continue the story. I've only seen it happen when running Hikari's chapters 3 and 4 simultaneously, or Partitio's chapters 3 and 4.
  • Newly recruited PCs may not spawn properly if they were shuffled. Open and close the menu or wait until you change screens to see them.
  • Some NPCs spawn twice depending on the order chapters are done in, most notably Agnea's Ch. 2 and Castti's Ch. 2 (Winterbloom).

INCOMPATIBLE WITH OT2 VERSION 1.1.0

New stuff:

  • Extinguishing and reigniting Sacred Flames in the Key Item/Events shuffler is now a separate option.
  • Added an option to cut random encounter frequency in half (equivalent to Evasive Maneuvers).

Fixes:

  • issue with Gken dropping "Error" item.
  • issue with Grape Expert having no weaknesses.
  • possible softlock when Hikari Chapter 5's shops and bartender don't spawn.
  • softlock after receiving only 1 Clockite (now only 1 is required).

Known Issues:

  • add sidequest key items to the key item pool
  • added option to shuffle sidequest rewards
  • moved licenses to the key item pool
  • added option to shuffle sidequest rewards
  • added option to improve fasttravel (e.g. allow travel to altars)

Fixes:

  • title screen should display randomizer on all graphics options

This is primarily some minor bug fixes for the v0.4.2 release.

New stuff:

  • Added option to omit the Conjuror "guild" slot from the Guilds events option.

Fixes:

  • Fixed bug leading to an incomplete spoiler walkthrough file.
  • Fixed bug letting the Temenos recruitment event spawn even after starting with Temenos.
  • Improved shuffled stealable items and money when in battle.

This is primarily just important bugfixes for the v0.4.1 release.

New stuff:

  • The spoiler log for shuffled events and key items was modified slightly to give a better sense of where to start.

Fixes:

  • Fixed bugs when recruiting Hikari and Throne.
  • Fixed bugs when receiving Black Crystals.

  • PC recruitment events can now give items

Fixes:

  • day/night dial stays visible after the first flame extinguishes when shuffling main story chapters
  • fixed music issues with shuffled bosses
  • fixed issues with all 8 PCs spawning in the final battle
  • reduced odds of shuffled bosses staying put

event & key item shuffler

This is a start to an event and key item shuffler. By finishing each chapter, going to an altar, talking to a guild master, etc, you can unlock another chapter, recruit a PC, learn a new EX Skill, collect an important item, and more. See the README and the displayed help in the executable for more details.

Known issues:

  • Newly recruited PCs may not spawn properly. Open/close the menu wait until you change screens to see them.
  • Some NPCs spawn twice depending on the order chapters are done in.

Known bugs:

  • PCs are included in the event & key item shuffler even without that option selected
  • Day/night dial disappears once a flame extinguishes
  • Some battle music is affected by boss shuffling and/or event shuffling

The randomizer is now updated to be compatible with the game's latest update (thanks Autumn!).

Some other minor updates:

  • added option to skip shuffling chapter 1 bosses
  • added some bias towards initial job commands
  • slight improvements to early enemy weaknesses
  • fixed spurning ribbon bug
