now clangd has a logo in vscode extension

I think we need a logo for all ccls project (like vscode-ccls emacs-ccls) , so that the extension will not like a Pirate version 🤣

Option 2 looks great, but it may better if LS is more square

I suck at color 😅
Also, if anyone else has a better design, please do post 😄

An attempt at color coordination.

My $0.02 on palette:

  • Two colors at most - IMO gradient doesn't play well with VSCode's design
  • The official C++ logo uses Hue=205/208/210° as the major color. It would be better to use the same color for CC to manifest its connection to C++
  • Using the complement hue of CC for LS

I created a sample pallette for this here: https://paletton.com/#uid=23n0u0kJS6KvW5fuP8MNdeqCnl7

EDIT: damn paletton.com calculates hue differently. New pallette: https://paletton.com/#uid=23A0u0kJS6KvW5fuP8MNdeqCnl7

In short: CC=025568 LS=A85400 CC=074789 LS=D37E00

@htfy96 Hue=215 is a good choice. It looks too dark. Maybe CC=0056CD, LS=CD5100?

With Hue=208, the bright version become CC=0066CC, LS=CC6600.

What a coincidence. 😄

ccls is

C/C++/ObjC language server supporting cross references, hierarchies, completion and semantic highlighting

IMO, code completion is the the most basic and important feature for a language server, so C/C++/ObjC # and completion could be the keywords of logo.

Image symbol of "(code) completion" is not very many, only "Drop-down list" and "puzzle" come into by mind.

So I try put "c++" and "puzzle" together, here is a prototype:

logo

If @MaskRay think it is acceptable, I will make a formal version.

Some note about design:

ccls is a really great project, but it's still lacking a logo, any directions @MaskRay? Anyone?
