Manually Edit Mount Rules

How do the mount rules come from?

On the previous page we have described mount. Mount rules are a combination of a series of mounts.

What auxiliary functions does Material Cleaner add for writing mount rules?

  1. Test mount rules: You can enter some paths you interest, and then see how the mount rules will affect the app's access to these paths;

  2. Rule Creation Wizard: For most apps, the wizard can reduce the number of operations required to edit rules.

  3. Redundant mount rule check: There are two cases of redundant rules, one is that the jump position of any path is not changed, and the other is that the latter rule overrides the formers. When redundant mount rules appear, Material Cleaner will gray them out, as shown in the figure below. 1

  4. Remount: Material Cleaner can remount without stopping the app to apply the new mounting rules instantly, so you don't need to worry about losing the state of the apps you are using. We can imagine a scenario where you are using a chat app to send a picture, and the chat app cannot access the pictures on your phone affected by storage redirect, so you need to modify the storage redirect settings. Here the remount feature will come into play. If Material Cleaner does not support this feature, after you modified the settings and return to the chat app, you will find that it still cannot read the picture, and you need to restart the app and reopen the interface of sending pictures.
