Remote Update:

HiveOS

This has been the most efficient way to remote install, and do so with no errors.

1.) Insert New Link Into Custom Wallet.

2.) Update Arguments (if necessary). Ensure -Update Yes is specified.

3.) Save Wallet.

6.) If after 5 minutes, you do not see hashrate: Reboot miner. You MUST give ample time to let SWARM to install miners before restarting worker.

This is the safest and effective way to remote install miner. There may be other ways to do so, but this way works 100% of the time without errors.

Windows

using get update command will run through the routine of dowloading new SWARM version, transferring your old settings, and then removing old version.

if you are using HiveOS feature- You can insert the new SWARM link, and miner should begin the update process. If it doesn't after a couple of minutes- You can click the Rocket Launch icon. It is important to note that restarting SWARM will not trigger an update. It will only trigger if you update the flight sheet WHILE SWARM is running, or by clicking the rocket launch icon. This is deliberate in design.

Other

If using a different Operating system than HiveOS or Windows, there is only one option:

Updating Using Git

You should do this with SWARM NOT running, and ALWAYS run install_linux for command/path changes and updates.
