How to submit a new issue:

  1. Make sure your issue meets the criteria set forth in Goals and Non-Goals.
  2. Log into GitHub.
    • Note: If you need to create an account first, I recommend using your in-game pilot name.
  3. Navigate to the Issues tab, near the top of this page.
    It looks something like this:
  4. Search through existing issues to make sure it hasn't already been reported. Seriously, do this!
    • If it already exists, simply upvote it, and you're done!
  5. Click on the New Issue button, which looks like this:
    .
  6. Enter a clear understandable title for your issue.
  7. Enter the specifics of your issue.
    • If reporting a bug, include all the details that PGI devs might possibly need in order to reproduce your bug. If it can't be reproduced, it can't be fixed! Also include screenshots or other relevant images by simply dragging them in.
    • If reporting a QoL suggestion, explain the exact part of the User Interface or User Experience that you are referring to, the difficulty involved in using that part of the UI/UX, and then your specific proposal to improve it. You can also include screenshots, images, or mock-ups with your issue by simply dragging them in.

After you have submitted your issue...

  1. Each day, moderators review recent submissions. If everything is in order, a moderator will add the appropriate tags to your submission (e.g. Bug/Enhancement/Feature-Request/etc). If anything needs to be tweaked, the moderator will add a comment to your issue describing whatever you need to fix.
  2. Get Publicity For Your Issue!!! Once your issue has been vetted by a moderator, spread the word! An issue with very few upvotes might never get addressed. Get out there and post links to your issue on /r/OutreachHPG, on /r/mwo, and on the forum. Encourage your friends and unit-mates to upvote your issue too.

Once your issue gets resolved...

  • Post a comment on your issue letting the Mods know that it can be closed. Include the patch/date in which the issue was resolved. We, as a community, need to make sure this Issue Tracker stays up to date with the most recent developments!
