Firstly, thank you for running Meowcoin Core and helping secure the network!

As you’re running an older version of Meowcoin Core, shut it down. Wait until it’s completely shut down - which might take a few minutes for older versions. Copy your wallet file to somewhere safe. It's always good practice to backup valuable wallet data for any release. (recovery phrase is adequate)

This pre-release contains a few things currently in testing:

  • Major GUI rework

It also contains all the changes brought by core version 1.05 and 1.06. Both changes were monumental in bringing Meowcoin up-to-date and patches multiple exploits, bugs, and other crucial items.

  • Meowpow Notes

Meowpow is an upcoming fork in the Meowcoin network. This update is a significant pre-requirement to making this a real possibility. This will let the dev team know how receptive this version is to the network. This provides the timeline for an activation event within the network.
