I was waiting to open a ticket since FPGAZumSpass was working on some timing issues - but yes I this is a minor issue.

Side note: Similar text and graphical corruption happens on both FFV and FFVI on the PS2. Try a different BIOS and see if there is any difference.

scph101 (psone-44a) / dtl-h1001 (ps-20a) has the same behavior (tested with cd-bios.rom) @birdybro can you check on the PSIo?

The person reporting it used scph101, can't test for a few hours, try scph7001 or scph1001

Activating reptiminggpu will show the boxes fully, so the issue is related to the cores GPU being faster than the real PS1 GPUs.

Need to implement a slowdown for the GPU some day to fix this.
