Adding a link to #92. Would it be possible for you to take an strace of the binary that is complaining about not being able to allocate memory? I'm fleshing out some procfs files and want to make sure I have all my bases covered. |
I can confirm with my change to accurately report the amount of memory on the system pip install pillow is working. The fix is on the way to the Insider build. |

i did have to install python-dev and libjpeg-dev |
try installing all libs: sudo apt-get install libtiff5-dev libjpeg8-dev zlib1g-dev libfreetype6-dev liblcms2-dev libwebp-dev tcl8.6-dev tk8.6-dev python-tk before installing again |

If i try to compile Pillow using "pip install pillow" it gives cannot allocate memory error.
