Very sorry for the issues. We are able to reproduce the crash and it seems to happen when using a JIS (Japanese) keyboard layout on Mac. If someone is seeing this with another keyboard layout, please comment here. Until we have a fix ready here is how to get back to 0.10.3:

Stack trace from #1468
|
This is due to a null reference in a native module. I have created microsoft/node-native-keymap#2 to fix this. |
This is cause by using some keyboard-layout. You should be able to workaround this by using a layout like US, UK, German, etc. |
Very sorry about this, it is a NULL pointer deference in C++: workaround: start up VS Code with a English-US keyboard layout and then change the keyboard layout back. The C++ code runs once on every window open. |
I added English keyboard layout. so, VS Code works good!! |
This is fixed now and should come as 0.10.6 release once signing and other tasks are finished |
Same bug when using Chinese keyboard-layout |
OK, done. #1463 (comment) |
@vanshady Sogou? Switch to English inputting, It`s OK. |
@wangchi Thx. I just want to point out that this bug is not limited to Japanese keyboard-layout, so that they could take this into consideration in 0.10.6. |
Same as me, Chinese keyboard layout. |
update 0.10.6 |
After update 0.10.5, VSCode crashes during startup.
I deleted it once with AppCleaner, and
rm -rf ~/.vscode/
, it did not recover.MacOSX:10.11.1
