Remove-CMCollection [-Force] -Name <String> [-DisableWildcardHandling] [-ForceWildcardHandling] [-WhatIf]
[-Confirm] [<CommonParameters>]
Use this cmdlet to remove a device or user collection.
You can't remove default collections. Any collection that you target should have an ID that starts with the site code, not SMS
.
Note
Run Configuration Manager cmdlets from the Configuration Manager site drive, for example PS XYZ:\>
. For more information, see getting started.
This command removes the collection named testUser. Specifying the Force parameter means that you aren't prompted for confirmation before the collection is removed.
Remove-CMCollection -Name "testUser" -Force
This command gets the collection object named testUser and uses the pipeline operator to pass it to Remove-CMCollection, which removes the collection.
Get-CMCollection -Name "testUser" | Remove-CMCollection
