Command does not exist #858
Comments
This needs a TOC change as well as the page itself. Looking at the other TOC entries listed underneath their respective main commands, the subcommand filenames begin with the name of the main command, so in this case, the files should be renamed to |
Visual example:
|
in addition to the changes illustrated above, we also need to change the URLs in the diskpart.md file content: TOC file URL: https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/windowsserverdocs/blob/master/WindowsServerDocs/administration/windows-commands/TOC.md |
that all sounds good to me in terms of resolving this issue, although the command list is a bit of inconsistencies. |
Fair point, there are a lot of commands there which look similar or a lot like other independent CMD command-line commands. |
Who would do this change?? |
Sorry, I have been too busy with other material. This change should either be made in stages, or all in one big PR with several pages. I have not landed on a decision on how to do it or how much time I would need to gather the PR content. |
I've been wanting to get the commands pages updated for a while. There a few things I'd like to see added, including the full executable name including path. There is a lot of work there so having a plan and encouraging some more community effort seems a good idea. |
Easter bank holidays will be here in about 24 days time. I am looking to create a PR during those days off from work. |

IN the file: windowsserverdocs/WindowsServerDocs/administration/windows-commands/active.md, (https://github.com/MicrosoftDocs/windowsserverdocs/blob/master/WindowsServerDocs/administration/windows-commands/active.md) the article talks about a command that does not exist.
I think the Active command is a sub-command within DiskPart.
This document needs updating to reflect what this command is.
