I have an Win32 MFC application that have it's own MFC components (buttons, menu items ...) that interacts with a webview2 component where I render a html page.
I want to create a Automated Test to validate that my C++ calls are generating a correct response inside the webview2 browser. So, I don't want to use only the automated tests for the webview2, I need to have a way to "click" on the native buttons and catch what is happening in the HTML world.
Someone have some ideas on how to achieve this? Right now, I tried using a Frankenstein test environment with Selenium and WinAppDriver for the Native side and trying to launch in the same test app the Playwright test to connect to Webview2 via CDP. It's not working quite well, unfortunately.
So, is there someone that tried or have had any success with something similar to this?
