Get wise to the weather outside; don't be surprised! This is a projoect connecting to an open-source weather API which allows users to lookup the weather for a particular location.
Instead of guessing what your day will hold, take initiative and prepare yourself for rain or wind or snow. Get a sense of the protection you may need before you head outside to explore your surroundings. Always keep an eye out and make sure you are weather wise!
Weather Wise provides weather information for the city provided to the app. This includes current weather conditions and possibly in the future to inclide hourly, daily, and alerts for the specified location.
Prioor to working on this project, make sure you have nvm installed locally (or nvm-windows if you are working on a Windows platform).
- After cloning the project, navigate to the
clientfolder.
- Run
npm installto install any dependencies for the client-side code. - Run
npm startto spin up the development frontend server.
- Then, switch to the
serverfolder.
- Switch to the project's node version specified in the
.nvmrcand install the required dependencies locally by runningnvm use && npm install. - Enact the backend server using the command
npm run start
